Specifications

• Chair frame shall be constructed from solid kiln dried hardwood. Lumber to be dried to a final moisture content between 6% – 8%.
• 173 (Wood Leg version): Front legs to be constructed from single stock lumber. Finished dimension at the top of leg to be 1 ¾” x 1 7/8” tapering to 1” x 1” at bottom. Rear legs to be constructed from single stock lumber cut to shape. Finished dimensions are 1 ¾” x 2 ¼” and tapers to the bottom.
• 174 (DB – Disc Base version): All bases start with a bottom X piece that is built of solid steel bar and covered with a round 16 gauge furniture grade metal cover, all X-pieces have adjustable glides to allow leveling on uneven floors. A 3” diameter 14 gauge metal column with metal top mounting plate is welded to the base via two bolts. The bottom base spread is 18” diameter steel.
• The seat rails are made from single stock lumber 2” x 3” and shaped to conform to the chair design and are glued dowelled and screwed together with corner blocks.
• The seat is of webbed construction. Foam is 3” high density CAL-117 foam on the seat and 1 ¾” on the inside back. Upholstery is applied as specified.
• UB (Upholstered Back version): The curved back and arms are a single piece formed plywood screwed into the seat frame. 1 ¾” foam and upholstery are applied.
• OVS / OVM (Veneer Back version): The curved back and arms are a single piece formed plywood screwed into the seat frame. The outside back is veneered in either Maple veneer (OVM) or Safari Veneer (OVS). Maple veneer (OVM) can be finished in any standard ISA wood finish and receives a clear urethane top coat for added protection.
