Specifications

• Frame shall be constructed from solid kiln dried beechwood. Lumber to be dried to a final moisture content between 6% -8%.
• Front Legs to be constructed from single stock lumber. Finished dimension at the top of leg to be 1 5/8” x 1 5/8” tapering to 1 1/4” x 1 1/4” at bottom.
• Rear legs to be constructed from single stock lumber cut to shape. Finished dimensions are 1 1/4” x 1 1/4” and tapers top and bottom. The top of the chair back is integrally joined to the back legs.
• The seat shall be 5/8”” thick plywood upholstered and applied to the solid beechwood frame. The seat is upholstered and attached to the beechwood frame and screwed to the frame.
• Front back and side stretchers are standard for added durability.
• Back is solid beechwood that is mortised and tenoned into the upper portion of the back legs and then upholstered.
• Side, front and back stretchers are mortised and tenoned into the legs for added strength.
• The frame and seat are connected together by dowels, corner blocks, bolts and glue.
• All exposed natural woods are clear coated with polyurethane with a matte finish, all stains are penetrating type with the following application procedure:
  1) First coat of penetrating stain
  2) Sealer added
  3) Sand all show wood
  4) Shade stain for consistency
  5) Clear coat matte polyurethane added
  6) Light sanding
  7) Final clear coat
• Floor contact points are nylon nail in type glides Note: mechanically secured glides have a tenancy to mark flooring when the screw head gets exposed by wear.
